    Description

    The objective of the ROBVISION project was to develop a system, which can provide robust and accurate 3D measurement and localisation of 3D objects. This was achieved by an integration of information from available CAD models and from images from vision systems. The project focused on guiding a robotic vehicle through large structures. Final tests of the developed system showed that by means of the system it is possible to control the position of a walking robot with an accuracy of +/- 10 mm. The project ran from November 1998 to December 2000. Financing: ESPRIT together with the involved companies. Budget: The budget for the actitivities at the Department of Production was 1.1 Mill. DKK and the total budget for the Robvision project was 8.4 Mill. DKK.
