Description

With renewable energy penetration, we are facing increased complexity in our energy supply with fluctuating electricity prices, more grid instability and greater risks of brownouts in the future. To solve these challenges, we need energy storage with intelligent integration for optimizing value and enhance system resilience.
The ReStoreBESS project aims to develop and demonstrate a scalable, multi-use-case Battery Energy Storage (BESS) solution for the Commercial & Industrial sector. We will manufacture the BESS leveraging second-life electric vehicle batteries to provide a commercially viable, resilient, and environmentally responsible energy stabilization solution. Our solution integrates an advanced energy management system, photovoltaic (PV) panel utilization, market participation, and provision of backup power. This will allow businesses to navigate current and future energy challenges, while alleviating grid bottlenecks and supporting the system-wide renewable energy transition.
