Project Details

Description

Energy performance certificates rate how energy efficient a building is on a scale of A to G and provide recommendations on how to improve energy efficiency. It is important to bridge the gap between designed and measured energy use. With this in mind, the EU-funded SATO project will establish a new energy self-assessment and optimisation platform to integrate all energy consuming instruments in any given building. It will also develop and integrate into the platform a self-assessment framework based on data analytics and machine learning that reports energy performance, building conduct and equipment deficiency. SATO will develop an interface based on building information modelling for aggregate and disaggregate analysis and visualisation and demonstrate how self-assessment contributes to lower energy consumption.

The project is funded by Horizon 2020.
