Project Details

Description

The primary goal of this research project is to develop a new theoretical and methodological framework for immersive qualitative analytics (IQA) of Big Video, in tandem with the creation of innovative software tools to embed, annotate and manipulate layers of mixed video, in order for researchers, professional analysts and educators to better visualise, analyse, share and archive complex sites and scenes of sociocultural interaction, communication and performance. Additionally, an Engine, Toolkit and Platform will be developed to support the qualitative analysis of immersive training programmes with our collaborative partners, for example, with applications in multinational crisis scenario training and behavioural exposure therapy in VR.
