Static and Fatigue Tests with Densit Connection

Static and fatigue tests with connections between large steel tubes were made in cooperation with the companies Densit and Techwise. The connection is made with Densit mortar, which is a steel-fiber reinforced mortar with very fine strength properties. The tests were to be used for verification of the strength properties of a corresponding connection that is used for the wind turbines in the great wind turbine park at Horns Rev. The tests were made in scale 1:10 and showed that the connection had good strength and deformation properties. (L. Pilegaard Hansen)
