Project Details

The purpose of this study is to explore defects in construction from four different perspectives in order to develop an improved understanding of the recurrent phenomena of defects. The four perspectives include a buildability perspective, a project management perspective, a behavioural perspective and a socio-technical perspective. The project included four studies:
  • - Buildability of constructions.
  • - Expert surveys in dispute resolution.
  • - Failures and errors in the building project delivery system.
  • - Defects in an unpredictable context: The relationship between intention, action and result.
