Project Details

Description

The central aim of this project is to measure the corrosion effect of a liquid or supercritical CO2 in the presence of the impurities and provide a mathematical model to predict this corrosion on existing and new infrastructure. Moreover, the best available technology to measure impurities in a CO2 liquid environment will be investigated

Key findings

- Measurements of corrosion in liquid/supercritical carbon dioxide in the presence of impurities for different process conditions and materials
– Identification of the best available technology for measuring the impurities in liquid or supercritical carbon dioxide
– Develop a mathematical model to predict corrosion in liquid and supercritical carbon dioxide
