Description
With advancements in NLP and DL, conversational robots have become increasingly sophisticated and capable of simulating human-like conversations. In this project, we propose designing robots that can imitate the speaking styles of historical figures for immersive conversational experiences. The research is motivated by the growing interest in history and culture, and the potential of technology to provide innovative and interactive ways for people to learn and engage with the past. By designing robots that can simulate conversations with historical figures, we can create a novel and engaging way for users to learn about history and culture, while also providing an immersive and personalized experience. By imitating the speaking styles of historical figures, we can create more engaging and personalized conversation experiences that can improve user engagement and satisfaction. This can lead to a deeper understanding of history and contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage. Additionally, conversational robots can promote interest in history and offer a more engaging way for people to learn about historical events and figures, ensuring that history is passed down to future generations. Therefore, the research idea is to create a conversational robot powered by deep learning and natural language processing that can simulate more accurate, consistent, and engaging conversations with historical figures by studying their language and speaking style. The research will involve selecting historical figures and collecting relevant documents, speeches, and videos to develop the language model. The robot would be designed to incorporate facial expressions, body language, and other non-verbal cues to enhance the user's experience. The effectiveness of the NLP model and the robot would be evaluated through user testing, with a focus on engagement, learning outcomes, and user satisfaction. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop a virtual digital robot that can enhance historical research, promote interest in history, and preserve cultural heritage.
