Description
The objective of the project is to develop a finite element program for the design of timber structures jointed by metal plate fasteners, including especially rigid-jointed frames. The programs used today are faulty, because they use fictitious elements ,which do not render sufficient modelling of the force distribution in and around the joints. The project is funded by the Danish Forest and Nature Agency.
