Project Details

Description

The UsabDiHo project concerns the evaluation of usability in a range of applications for use in hospitals e.g. digital patient case records and diet planning tools for diabetics. The UsabDiHo project is a part of a larger research project at the hospitals of Frederikshavn and Skagen conducted in collboration with colleagues of the Virtual Centre for Health Informatics (V-CHI) at Aalborg University. The aim of the overall project is a full-scale implementation and use of digital information technology within healthcare. The scope of the UsabDiHo project is to conduct four usability evaluations over a two years period. Each usability test will result in a self-contained usability evaluation report. Two types of applications will be tested: 1) Digital patient case records used by the hospital staff and 2) diet planning tools for diabetics used by doctors as well as patients. The usability evaluations will be performed both in our dedicated usability lab and in the field by observing actual use at the hospitals.
