Abstract

Power infrastructure construction assistance projects show that the economic growth and power consumption of remote communities are mutually promoted by each other in a certain degree. This means that micro-grid construction can cause power consumption and economic growth, which in turn require enhanced micro-grid construction as the initial ones will soon be difficult to meet the growing power demand. Therefore, if micro-grid construction relies on outside help, allocating fund in the form of multi-stage planning and considering the coordinated development of economic growth and electricity supply will be a good choice. The multi-stage coordinated source planning of rural isolated microgrid in this paper took the lead in considering interaction relationship between power supply and economic development and quantitatively characterize it. Then, the downside risk index is used to analyze the disadvantage aspect caused by uncertainty factors in the economic development of rural isolated microgrid, and thus proposing objects including maximizing economic growth in remote communities and minimizing the micro network operation and maintenance (O&M) costs as well as downside risks in economic growth. The model was solved by fast group search optimizer. The theory and simulation results verify the rationality and validity of the multi-stage coordinated source planning method.
