    Abstract

The paper contributes to answering some interrelated questions from the
Eurosphere project, namely What is the role of gender groups in the
European public sphere? How do they cooperate and negotiate with ethnic
minority groups? What is the role of gender-related concerns in the
European public sphere? And how do they relate to ethno-national
concerns? Two transnational European organizations, namely European
Network Against Racism [ENAR] and European Women´s Lobby [EWL], are
investigated to map these organizations’ notions of diversity, and analyze
whether concerns with gender and race are cross-cutting or exist in parallel
isolation within the European public sphere.
