Abstract

The paper presents a novel multi-port dc/dc converter. It includes a PV connected current-fed full bridge unit, a battery connected series resonant converter unit and the load connected cycloconverter, and all the ports are connected together through a multi-winding transformer. The series resonant converter works under fixed frequency, and naturally features the soft switching. Maximum power point tracking of the PV arrays is considered and fast dynamic response and accurately power flow control are achieved for the whole system. The feasibility of the proposed multi-input dc/dc converter is verified by computer simulation and hardware experimental measurements.
