Abstract

Spectrum sensing is the ability on which Cognitive Radio relies to obtain spectrum awareness. In this paper, an experimental study of different time domain cyclostationary detection architectures is made for the special case when the modulation scheme of the transmitted signal is OFDM. The detectors were implemented using GNU Radio as software toolkit for signal processing and two USRP2 as RF front-ends. An alternative implementation of the state of the art cyclostationary detector is proposed for its benefits in terms of complexity, increased performance and flexibility.
