Abstract
This study identifies the relationship between the growth of foreign trade and economic growth represented in the growth of per capita real non-oil output in the Libyan economy during the period (1980 - 2015). The study uses an econometric model examines and analyzes the causal relationship between foreign trade growth and economic growth in the Libyan economy by using two variables to determine the direction of causal relationship between growth in these variables using the Granger Method of Causality. This study reached the conclusion that there is a positive bidirectional relationship between economic growth and foreign trade growth in the Libyan economy
