Abstract

Beamforming algorithms are expected to be extensively
utilized in mm-wave systems to improve system performance.
In this paper, we discuss three different beamforming
algorithms based on uniform circular arrays (UCAs), i.e. classicial
beamfomer, coventional frequency invariant beamformer.
Numerical simulation results and channel sounding measurement
results at mm-wave are provided to demonstrate and compare the
performance of the different beamformers in channel parameter
estimation applications.
