Abstract

The book contains four parts: History, Models, Principles and Houses. The book descibes the history of natural ventilation of danish housing from 1850 to 2002 (history). With inspiration from european, natural ventilated taller buildings (Models), a systematism for architectural ventilation strategies is developed. The systematism is transferred to terraced housing, where the strategies are tested by calculations (Principles). Finally, concrete examples are given of terraced housing, where the strategies are implemented (Houses).
