Abstract

This paper presents a collaborative optimal scheduling strategy for regional integrated energy system (RIES) with electric power subsystem (EPS) and natural gas subsystem (NGS). The objective function is first established to perform the optimal collaboration of adjustable distributed generators and energy storage, and to derive the optimized operation condition considering the operation transition of grid-connected mode and islanded mode. Simulation results are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed optimal scheduling strategy. The proposed scheduling strategy is able to realize the energy management of the regional integrated energy system (RIES) in a flexible and cost-effective way. Also, the scheduling strategy is effective to support transition between islanded operation and grid-connected operation.
