Abstract

The commuted waveguide synthesis of the clavichord is discussed. The synthesis model is based on digital waveguide modeling of string instruments and uses the principle of commuted waveguide synthesis where the soundbox's response is incorporated in the excitation signal. Some special sampling techniques which are employed in the process are discussed.
