Abstract

The problem of configuration selection, i.e. sensor/actuator placement for piecewise affine (PWA) systems subject to sensor and actuator faults is considered in this paper. A method is proposed that providing the basis for a design tool aimed at supporting decisions about the optimal placement of sensor/actuators when considering sensor and actuator faults. It allows design decision about the reconfigurability of the system and the optimal configuration. The proposed reconfigurability analysis consider both stabilisability and performance of the system. The efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated in several numerical examples.
