Abstract

Here, analysis of the antenna correlation at the design stage is done, with focus on measurement techniques. Various theoretical definitions of correlations are used with the corresponding measured data required. The problems related to the coaxial measurement cables, when calculating correlation through the radiation patterns, are analyzed and an optical solution proposed. It is shown that using optical cable replacement, repeatable and accurate measurements of the envelope correlation coefficient can be made.
