Abstract

Life-expectancy has increased among men and women in Sweden and in Denmark during the middle nineties. Mortality in Swedish and Danish Oeresundsregions is less advantageous than in the two countries. Mortality is particular affected by lifestyle – specially smoking behaviour – and also by the proportion of manual workers.
