Abstract

Starting from the core functions of the chartered surveyor this article describes a number of the challenges surveyors in private practice will face in relation to the demands for increased digitizing of property data and the quality demands in this connection in the coming years. The development is especially presented in relation to the property development process and the ongoing activities as regards development of IT-based tools supporting an increased digitizing of data and ensuring better data quality. In addition to the property development process a few of the other tasks will shortly be mentioned in which the Danish surveyors in private practice are involved and which are of importance to the continued development of the property data field.
