Abstract

LLC resonant converters are widely used in diverse industrial applications, due in part to their high efficiency and high power density. In spite of their numerous advantages, these converters are still considered the most challenging converters from a modeling and control perspective. Several factors contribute to this complexity, including the nonlinear behavior and different operating modes. Therefore, a high-power medium-voltage resonant converter is modeled in this manuscript, and its dynamic behavior is investigated. The nonlinear model simulation performed by MATLAB/Simulink and the electrical circuit simulation performed by PLECS are then compared to verify the accuracy of the obtained model.
