Abstract

"Erotic Hymns" is a sacred son cycle in which the composer Bent Lorentzen (b. 1935) combines Baroque and contemporary Dansih poetry in a fascinating exploration of the realtionship between erotic and religious experience. The cd is a world premiere recording by baritone Morten Frank Larsen and organist Jens E. Christensen, and the cd also festures the organ works "Triplex" (1974) and "Saturnus" (1996), "Flamma" (2001) for organ and percussion and "Four Danish Chorale Motets" (1989-94) for baritone and organ.
