Abstract
There are many different approaches to teaching business models. This paper pre-sents a universal five-step approach developed from an ongoing longitudinal ac-tion research project to uncover best-practice in educating and developing business model competencies. The approach is based on the teaching principles of case-based teaching, learning-by-doing and problem-based learning.
