Abstract

People with severe mental illness, such as schizophrenia have higher rates of mortality especially due to cardiovascular disease. We have established a clinical trial named “Coronary artery disease and schizophrenia”. However, patients with schizophrenia have cognitive disturbances, which make recruitment of patients challenging. The purpose of this study is to understand which type of recruitment strategy is needed in clinical trials.
