Abstract

Virtual Environments offers new affordances for multimodal experiences. However, most research has been done on the visual modality and technologies supporting this sense In this paper new approaches to sound design for VE are proposed. Utilizing principles of film sound can prove beneficial in creating increased sense of immersion in Virtual Environments and Virtual Reality.
