Abstract

In this paper, a new hybrid converter based on Z-source DC/DC converter with common ground is introduced. The proposed converter can supply ac and dc loads simultaneously or individually (stand- alone ac or dc loads). Also, the commutation problem of its counterpart has been solved in this topology. The proposed hybrid converter is analyzed mathematically and then validated by simulation in three different possible modes: only dc load in service, only ac load in service and both ac and dc loads in service.
