The data about structure, composition and properties of polymer materials modified by ion implantation are presented and analysed in this book. Also, the background of the ion implantation method and some methods of polymer investigation are presented. Analogies between the thermal and ion-beam treatment of polymers are considered as well. The mechanisms of charge carrier transport in the ion-implanted polymer layers are studied. One of the chapters contains information about the main aspects of the implanted polymer films application.
