Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to introduce this special issue on knowledge management in the firm. The papers presented are all contributions dealing with knowledge in the firm. This special issue is part of the scientific response to the increasing importance of knowledge and learning. The papers in this issue provide a range of welldocumented responses to these methodological challenges, examples that may serve as inspiration for continued methodological development.
