During the last decade learning has been an agenda-setter as never before. In the field of education and pedagogy there has been a marked shift towards using the concept of learning instead of teaching. At the same time learning as been placed on the agenda in areas of society where teaching and pedagogy have not previously been discussed, not least in the field of business and organisational change. Learning can be seen as a key element in processes of change that institutions and organisations engage in under contemporary cultural and economic conditions. The book contains research contributions to the understanding of learning and change in many different contexts. The contributions cover four main themes, learning, education, higher education and knowledge. The chapters have been written by researchers from the Department of Education, Learning and Philosophy, Aalborg University.
