Abstract

Medium-voltage isolated DC-DC converters play indispensable roles in future power electronics systems. However, the comparison of light-load performances across different configurations is a research gap in the existing literature. This paper presents a half-bridge 6 kV - 600 V isolated DC-DC converter setup enabled by 10 kV Silicon Carbide MOSFETs, which can be configured in both conventional resonant and non-resonant modes, allowing for a detailed assessment of their respective light-load performances. Their experimental results are comprehensively compared and discussed.
