Abstract

The paper describes the major research contributions made in the research of hydraulic load sensing systems throughout the last decades. Furthermore, the paper investigates the efforts put into electronic load sensing and the most promising alternatives to load sensing systems. Finally, the paper presents a discussion of the future research activities in this area and what is to be expected.
