Abstract
The present paper describes the early developments of a generic decision theoretical framework for the consistent quantitative and rational management of earthquake risks. It is anticipated that the decision support framework shall support decision makers responsible for the safety of personnel, environment and assets of a larger area such as eg a region or a city.
