Abstract
The article examines the legal protection in Danish law against ethnic profiling in policing. Emphasis is put on the prohibition against discrimination and the access to effective remedies in human rights law. It is argued that Danish law and practice do not fully comply with binding ECtHR practice, nor a number of 'soft law' recommendations in the implementation of a more effective protection against ethnic profiling. For these reasons, a risk may persist for continued situations of discriminatory ethnic profiling in Danish policing.
