Abstract

In multidisciplinary teams, each team member uses his or her own expertise to develop individual care goals. An interdisciplinary team builds on each other's expertise to achieve common, shared goals. Very often, the most important issue is not the specific skills that each one of the members of the interdisciplinary team has, but the overall skills that they should develop as a team to cover all the diagnostic and therapeutic needs of dysphagic patients.
