    Abstract

The following sets forth a new methodical approach for critical tourism scholarship. It departs in the increasing research on embodiment and the sensing body in tourism, and suggests a novel mode of inquiry to spark further critical, creative and innovative research: Partigraphy. As a combination of the words particle and ethnography, this new term paves the route for creative ethnographic explorations of the implications of particulate matters on tourist experiences. To push forward this new style of sensuous research, I develop four analytical avenues that will guide future partigraphic studies in tourism academia.
