In this column (Sunday), I ask how we can possibly report (and fight) discrimination and racism when the police (to whom we are supposed to turn for help) have an openly racist and discriminatory practice? A society in which authority figures (politicians, police, media, teachers, etc.) are unable to identify racism and discrimination (and for the most part deny it exists), is basically a society in which the fox has been given the task of guarding hens….
