Abstract

This paper delineates the key principles and characteristics of problem-oriented and project-based learning (PBL) across educational levels and contributes to the ongoing dialogues on the transformation of science education by suggesting a focus on authentic (and actionable) problems as a point of departure in learning and a catalyst for reimagining pedagogical approaches across the K12 STEAM education continuum.
