Abstract
The chapter shows how “learning” is applied as a modifier in economics. Modifiers serve as adjectives to adjust the meaning of another concept or expression, often as a pre-modifier or post-modifier. However, we show that when learning is applied as a modifier of economics, learning will require modification to suit the context of economics. We argue that modifiers in research will comprise a dialectical interplay between an adjective and the following concept or expression. So, the following concept or expression (research in economics) is being changed and changing the adjective (learning) functioning as a modifier.
