Abstract
The paper presents a novel method for establishing worst case estimates of queue lenghts and transmission delays in networks of interconnected segments each of ring topology as defined by the ATOMOS project for marine automation. A non probalistic model for describing traffic is introduced as well as theoretical work verifying the correctness of an iterative algorithm estimating worst case queue lenghts and in turn transmission delays.
