Abstract

The concepts for asymptotic analytical solutions to so-called Laplace integrals are briefly reviewed. It is shown how integrals occurring in structural reliability can be transformed so that those results are applicable. The available theory is extended to cover also the integrals to be solved for the mean values of crossing characteristics of non-homogeneous Gaussian vector processes and non-homogeneous Gaussian scalar fields through non-homogeneous threshold functions.
