Abstract
The subject of the article is the Danish legal process for neighbor disputes over property boundary determination. “Skelforretning” is the Danish name of this pretrial process – a process mandatory before such cases of neighbor disputes can be tried at court in Denmark. The article presents research into both the legislation and the Cadastral Authority’s legal interpretation of the rules concerning the participants in the process. Previous articles have published research on the procedure itself; this article covers the rules delegating the right to initiate, participate in or summon to the process. The article is critical towards the Danish Cadastral Authority’s recent acceptance of participants’ lack of access to defense.
