    Abstract

    The concept of motivational orientations highlights the variations in the encounter between the (school) experiences, expectations and motives pupils bring to school and the sociocultural context which the school represent, as well as outlining a number of different motivational orientations for engaging (or not) in educational contexts and learning processes.
