Abstract

Measurements are performed in a full-scale test room with displacement ventilation with focus on the velocity and temperature field in the region close to the inlet device.
Investigations based on these detailed measurements have been made in order to see if it is possible to describe the velocity decay and the shape of velocity and temperature profiles in front of the inlet device by traditional jet theory, by stratified flow theory or by a combination of the two theories.
