Abstract
This article investigates the strategies used to translate expanded prenominal attributes from German into Danish. The parallel corpus on which the study is based consists of German prose texts and corresponding Danish versions. The empirical analysis reveals two central translation strategies: the analogical transfer of the expanded prenominal attribute and the transformation of the construction into a relative clause. In addition, a number of translation patterns are noted, which are all consistent with the two main strategies.
