    Beskrivelse

Maria presents the first findings of research centered on young people’s experiences of being participants in different kinds of change and decision making processes facilitated by adults. The research follows seven different projects in Denmark, that all aim to facilitate spaces for young people’s participation in different arenas of youth life.

While research on facilitated participation is extensive in childhood studies, it is not the case in youth studies --even though such practices are widespread. This seminar will focus on how trends in policies and discourses around youth seems to effect: What kind of issues are included or excluded from influencing projects, , what modes of participation the young people adopt, and how they experience being participants.
