emergency response system for larger (>7 kg) drones. It is a small device, mounted on a drone, that keeps track of safe places to crash, and on the health state of the drone. If necessary it can terminate the flight, and with the least probability of fatalities. This means a significantly reduced risk for automated, typically BVLOS, operations, and SafeEye is thus an enabler for many applications, including farming, inspection, transportation, search and rescue. The risk mitigation ability is documented so well that SafeEye aims at achieving formal approval of the Danish authorities as well as direct influence on coming European drone regulations. SafeEye is manufactured as a standalone unit sold first through drone technology suppliers and later to service providers and manufacturers of autopilots. The project aims at TRL8 and SRL7 and the first units sold 12 months after the project ends.
