How "green" can we be? - Actions for sustainability at the individual, organizational, and inter-organizational level

The presentation was part of the online "Downtime Festival" for worldwide employees of the company Trackunit. It addressed collaboration as a means for generating new opportunities for sustainability action.
The talk started with an interactive session on consumer action and lifestyle changes with positive environmental impacts, and the opportunities that can be created by collaborating with family, friends, the neighborhood and local community. The following focus was on how companies - very much like individuals - can create new opportunities for environmental action by collaborating with their surroundings. As an example for firms co-creating sustainable value with neighboring organizations, the concept of industrial symbiosis was presented. The case of the industrial symbiosis network in Aalborg, Denmark, highlighted the possible environmental and economic benefits of the concept.
